Our Story
Since starting his career in dentistry, our founder, Dr. Paul Uliasz, has been dedicated to leveraging his skills as a dentist to give back to the community and the world. Throughout his career, Dr. Paul has not only volunteered his own time but has also inspired his teams to follow suit. When he established his dental group, Blue Sea Dental, he made Giving Back a cornerstone of the company culture, emphasizing the importance of charitable dental organizations in promoting community dental care.
Dr. Paul's vision for dental practices that prioritize giving back has evolved from his beginnings as the owner of a single practice to his current role as President of Blue Sea Dental. Together with his teams, Dr. Paul has contributed their time and expertise to various charitable dental organizations such as FLA-MOM, Project Dentists Care, Missionary Trips to South America, and Dentistry from the Heart, further enhancing access to essential dental health services.
In 2022, Dr. Paul launched Smiles for the Community to enable Blue Sea Dental teams and other volunteers from the Southwest Florida area to provide free dental care days for individuals who lack access to necessary dental services.
Since our first event in 2022, SFTC has successfully treated 1,113 patients and donated $393,246 in services, exemplifying our commitment to community dental care and the importance of charitable initiatives.
Our Mission
Smiles for the Community is a charitable dental organization dedicated to enhancing dental health services for those in need by making community dental care accessible. We organize and host free dentistry days to give back to our communities...one smile at a time.
